My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trooper was found beat up by the world and the humans who were supposed to protect him.  He weighed only 30 lbs and he had deep scars and wounds all over his body.  His tongue was cut half way through....he had mange.  He was literally near death.

We believe Trooper was used as a bait dog by extremely poor excuses for human beings who think it is fun to watch dogs being killed in a ring for entertainment.  They throw them out when they are dead or near dead.  THIS was Trooper's life before he went to our marvelous foster Momma, Pat Hissong.

Trooper is now healthy.  His wounds are healed.  He weighs 70 lbs and he has learned all his basic commands under Pat's care.  He is ready for a forever home.

Trooper gets along with most dogs but if you already have a dog we would like to introduce your dog to Trooper first.  Trooper would do best in a home without small dogs or cats....

Trooper walks well on a leash and he loves his foster family.  His foster mom will be able to tell you all about him.  We truly believe Trooper will make a wonderful companion to the perfect family.  He has experienced the very worst in life....and he has now experienced the very best.  He seems to take to the loving care of good people.  Trooper is a strong, beautiful boy....with many years of love in him.
