My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I learned a lot about Chester yesterday. A woman came to our shelter to look at a few of our dogs. She brought along her young, very high energy dog and also her senior dog that isn't always accepting of others. As it turned out, Chester was the perfect match for these dogs. He was so playful and gentle with the younger dog and he quickly learned his limits with th e older dog. She didn't adopt yesterday but I am thankful for her visit. It allowed me to see Chester interacting with her dogs and I realized just what a GREAT dog he is. He is so lovable and yet, very obedient. He would be perfect with children of all ages. He is really a very beautiful dog and his fur is soft as silk. He loves to give kisses and he walks great on a leash. If you have been looking for a very special pup, please come by and meet Chester. He is at the Tunica Humane Society Shelter in Tunica, Ms. and he is waiting for his forever family....

UPDATE 3-22-14 after Chester's first adoption event today....the coordinator had these nice things to say about sweet Chester: "Chester is about 1 1/2 yrs old, so he is full grown.  He is very sweet and playful.  Chester was found as a stray so we don't know his background, but we think he will make a wonderful family dog. He has had a previous injury to his leg but it is healed and doesn't bother him. He gets along great with other dogs and is GENTLE and submissive. We think he would also do great with kids. Chester is up to date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative.  "

Well, I am loving this boy more and more....a perfect family dog.  Please spend some time looking at his photos....see how sweet.

He was playful and tried to engage the other dogs to play today but not aggressive at all. He wasn't overly hyper, well behaved.  He liked attention and being petted. He would be good with kids.

If you are interested in adopting this dog  please  give us a call.

We know each of the animals entrusted to our care by name and we will be happy to tell you all about the personality and little quirks that make each animal so loved.   Our adoption fee for a dog is $100 and that covers all shots and vetting and spay/neuter.  Our animals are fully vetted before we send them off to their new family.
