My story

I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!! Meet Rosie...spayed, micro chipped, current on vaccinations, on flea and heart worm preventatives. Rosie is 60 pounds and will be a year old in April. She is going to be a BIG girl! We are working on keeping all 4 feet on the floor and basic commands. Rosie loves the other dogs and loves people. She needs to build confidence but that can be done in the day to day activities.

East TN Pit Bull Rescue adopts out to companion homes only. Adoptions require an application that is verified, a meeting that includes ALL members of the household, a home visit, and a trial period. We do not place our dogs in homes with unaltered pets or homes that have pets but do not have a vet. All of our dogs are placed as inside pets, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, vaccinations current, and HW- or treated within the last 6 months for heart worms by our vet. Adoption fees start at $150 for adults and $200 for pups. If you are interested in offering this pet a responsible and loving home, please fill out the on-line application at www.etnpitbullrescue.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each dog is spayed/neutered, micro chipped and vaccinated, HW tested and put on preventative. All medical problems are addressed. Dogs are evaluated for 30 days and not placed available for adoption until they meet certain requirements. Once posted for adoption, there is an application that includes phone interviews and a home visit. The fee is $125 unless we are running a special campaign or a dog has a sponsor. There is an adoption contract that states expectations of new owner and that dog will always come back to rescue if new home falls thru.

More about this rescue

We are East TN Pit Bull Rescue and we search for loving and responsible forever homes for needy pits in the East TN Area. We will consider aid to a dog out of that area if there is not one to fill the spot from our area. We educate on the truth about the breed and responsible ownership of the breed. We help fight Breed Specific Legislation and educate communities on ways to strengthen their dog laws with BSL language. We hold adoption events as well as educational events aimed at redeeming the reputation of this breed. We do these things because we realize that the future of this breed depends on the public and the media seeing the real Pit Bull.
