Rusty was surrendered to DDM by a kind homeless woman who found him as just a pup living alone on the streets. He is a bit neurotic and needs someone to help him with his shadow chasing habit. Rusty does amazing in public, is a great listener, and is very well-behaved. Rusty does great with other dogs, but no cats. He needs a home with no children due to his neurotic behaviors, like getting fixated on shadows. Rusty has skin issues and is on CBD to treat them. He requires an owner willing to keep up with his medication. Rusty recently had a large mass on his neck removed. He is healing up perfectly and is finally ready to meet his furever family!

Please help Rusty find his people and have a home of his own.

Adoption donation fee and home inspection required.

Why adoption is a great option

Rusty, a Sherman Oaks American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
