My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Constantine is a beautiful & shiny, sleek boy. His black coat is the shiniest unless he's just rolled around in the dirt, which he is quite fond of doing.

He is smart, sweet, and cuddly as can be, and loves playing with other dogs of all sizes. He is 6 months old and weighs about 50 lbs. We expect Constantine to be a big boy when he's all grown up, so there will be lots more to love. His sweet disposition is very endearing, especially when he comes to greet us with his entire body wagging. He loves to take walks, now that he is fully vaccinated, and he does very well on a leash. He does exhibit leash aggression toward other leashed dogs, however, we use a pinch collar to keep him in check and paying attention to us. Once introduced to new dogs, he plays well, which means chasing, chewing, barking, chasing some more, then laying down to chew on a toy together. While his energy level can get the best of his foster parents, Constantine will be a perfect buddy to an active person, like a jogger or a multiple-times-per-day walker.

At 7:30 nightly he turns up the juice and gets crazy with his living room antics. He isn't destructive to our stuff and has yet to knock a lamp over or break anything. We can set our clock by him since he is so regular with his 7:30 antics.

Nightly he enjoys cuddly and taking a nap in our arms! When it's time for bed, he will come to the human bed--when invited--and get cuddled up against us. The word 'precious' comes to mind whenever he yawns and drifts off to sleep.

He was found on the streets at 6 weeks old, therefore his breed/description is our best guess. We try our best to avoid the term pit bull due to its origins, but most people use that term regardless.

Constantine is housetrained, but if he gets too excited when we come home, you'd think he is a cocker spaniel because he will piddle just a little! We kennel him while we're at the office. He will go to the door and shuffle around to get attention when he has to potty. He will sit for his treats and his food bowl, or just because we ask him to sit.

Constantine is such a wonderful little man with a huge heart and good head on his shoulders. He is our shadow, following us around the house, sitting at our feet, waiting for our attention & commands. He will make a fantastic companion if you are looking for a special little boy to share your home, time, and love with.

Tino is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, wormer, and heartworm & flea/tick preventative.

Preference will be given to prospective adopters with dog experience or a demonstrated commitment to obedience classes & training.

Please email captainchaos@campchaos37206.org for an application. Adoption fee is $110. Thank you for wanting to share your home with one of our rescued pups!
