Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Prince Snugabug is an enchanting little boy and a special needs dog, having a seizure condition, seeking a new home. He is as sweet and earnest as can be, and a true little character who is very entertaining to be around. Animated and playful, he also loves to snuggle - it is his favorite! He loves canine companions, but gets too aroused around cats to be a good match. Due to his seizure condition we do not recommend him around small kids, who may not understand not to stress him when he is having a seizure, but he does adore children generally; older kids would be fine.
Sadly, his litter was born with neurological deficit and he suffers frequent but moderate seizures, in which he does not lose consciousness and remains very handleable. He is on medication which has already been adjusted and is a work in progress, but he is a good sport about everything. Having suffered from seizures from a very young age, they are part of his normal and do not unduly stress him. He has a nervous-yet-enthusiastic engaging energy and is always "on" and happy. Hops like a gazelle when chasing his balls, curls up your lap like a heated pillow, and always tries his best in all he does. He is a very sweet boy.
THE RIGHT HOME for Snugabug should have interest in a special needs animal as his needs are ongoing and part of his life. This will never change. He would do best with someone who is home often as he loves companionship, but he crates very well. Being highly strung and a complex being, he belongs in a dog experienced home who can help him make the transition and engage his very active mind. He will love you like a circle - this is a very sweet and devoted dog with an impregnably positive outlook on life, despite his hardships.
Applications are available via contacting Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $450. Adoptions to RI, CT and NH only.
