Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Koda is an adult Yorkie-Poodle who is still fun loving and full of energy. Koda has been in our family since 2004. Our adult son took Koda with him while working and attending college locally in Maryland. Koda needed to relocate when our son changed apartments in 2014. She was taken in by an extended family member who had never owned, but wanted to start with a pet that was already trained. That started off fine, but the family member became overwhlemed with being a pet owner and providing an adequate environment for Koda. My wife and I recently took Koda back in after realizing that she was not receiving proper care and to ensure that she is loved and taken care of properly. We currently have two other dogs and don't quite have the space for three. She is crate trained and house broken. She will actually come get you when it's time for her to "go".
Koda is very smart and well trained (hand/voice commands; sit, down, up, stay). Other voice commands are "no/ah-ah" (no/stop), "bed" (go to her bed) and "inside" (go to her crate). She is a very friendly and loving dog. She absolutely loves people, but prefers not to socialize with other dogs. She's not confrontational, but will go to her space when other dogs come around her. She does tricks for treats and rolling over is her favorite. She'll actually start her roll before you give the command in anticipation of her treat. Koda also likes to stalk, pounce, and chase for play although she has slowed down a bit. She likes to fetch and play tug of war also. Koda would be a great pet for someone seeking a companion dog that is very low maintenance.
