My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These cute sisters are Maggie & Mallory. They are sweet little girls who love to play. They love each other very much and get concerned when they are separated. We are looking to home them together as a bonded pair.
They have been somewhat of late bloomers and need a quiet home where they can grow, play, and learn. They are well-mannered, adapt well to routines, understand verbal instruction, know their names. They are interested in learning new things and like to follow you around watching what you do. They are still developing their personalities and need a home that is patient for them to understand a sense of belonging. They are hesitant to approach and handling, and need someone who can work with them on this.
Maggie likes to be pet and she allows to be picked up and handled, she purrs and sits still while you hold her, but she seems hesitant and uncertain. She progresses daily with dedicated reassurance, as she warms up to the idea and loves to purr. She is the cute and gray/white girl and kind of the leader to her sister.
Mallory is the gorgeous gray longhair with one white toe. She always manages to stay just out of arms reach. She does not want to be held and when I have been able to, she is always looking for that escape route off my lap for the moment I let go. At the same time, she follows verbal instructions and is easily contained when necessary into a carrier. She's not afraid of people or getting 'close enough'. Follows me around watching my routines, loves to hang out and is relaxed in her environment. She also progresses daily and I have been recently lucky to sneak some petting that she is beginning to try.
They need patience, but if you have the right environment to help these gals fit in, they will make the perfect addition to a small family. No kids, no dogs. Great with other cats who are friendly. They have a foster brother who has taught them good manners and they often learn by example following his lead. They are still small, but growing fast. Would like them to start their lives with someone who can carry the torch and get them acclimated.
