Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We adopted Dante from a friend of a friend who's two 'purebred' Labradors had had a large litter. As Dante grew, it became evident that he was much more pointer than expected. He is loving, loyal, playful, intelligent, and very energetic. He's excellent at letting us know when he wants attention or needs to go outside to use the bathroom or needs exercise. He loves to walk and hike as well as play with cats and other dogs.
We stopped going to the dog park because when he was roughly 8 months, he was bit by an older dog. When we reintroduced him to the dog park, he became overwhelmed, but one-on-one with other dogs he does wonderfully.
He is fast friends with my mother's little terrier and the several cats of varying ages we have, as well as strays. He does not like opossums though, so we keep him solidly away from the poor things.
He is an enthusiastic jumper, but he knows basic commands. We haven't dedicated enough time to have the commands be immediate, but he does know sit, come, heal, down, off, stay (short distances), and 'leave it.'
We have had him since he was 8 or 9 weeks old. He loves a stuffed KONG toy with a little peanut butter on the opening, as well as soggy rawhide chews. He tries to play with the cat toys but we discourage it for fear of choking hazards. He loves chicken and peanut butter food and treats, not so much beef or pork.
For a forever home we would hope the he would go to a place that could give him a decent amount of attention. A home with kids would be great to match the energy level he can sometimes get to. He is use to indoor sleeping in his crate so outside sleeping conditions are not suitable for him. And like all things someone who has patience. He is young and still learning. He wants to make the people around him happy, he just needs to be taught how.
We move the 17th and will have to surrender him at that point.
