My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

My name is Sasha and I came from a large breeding facility.  I came to my foster Mom with Heartworm and went through the awful treatment to get rid of them.  During that time I learned to trust her and her forever girl who also came from the same background though it took a little longer with the human.  Don't know much about cats though I guess they are ok.  I will be twelve years of age in February.   I have had all my shots, spayed and dental done... I didn't have to have any teeth pulled.   I understand that is a big deal for my age.  I am totally house trained and have learned to spin in a couple of circles to let my human know I need to go out.  I am quiet and enjoy a quiet home and when people come over I will hide in my room though I am curious enough to come out and take a peek at what is going on.  I don't know what toys are so you don't have to buy them for me although I do love a good bully bone to chew on.  I require a nice size fenced in yard since I like to explore.   Walking is great if there is not much traffic as vehicles startle me and I freeze... though I am working on this.  Coming from a place of nothing but other dogs to a world filled with all kinds of things is very new and I am timid.  I love to cuddle and get belly rubs and when I do I give little kisses.  I will be locally adopted out so, please come visit me at Petco during the KC Sheltie adopt-a-pet days.
