Sasha is a beautiful 3-year old mixed breed dog. She is already housetrained and spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Sasha is extremely well-behaved and has great house manners. While eating dinner, she quietly sits or lays on the floor near us; she doesn’t beg, cry/whine, jump up, or try to grab our food. Sasha has a wonderful personality - likes attention and engaging with us, but she’s also very independent as well. She loves to play outside, keeping herself occupied by playing with a ball or a stick she finds, or just observing what’s going on around her. Sasha is very friendly and enjoys meeting people. She is very respectful and rarely jumps up (only had to remind her a few times with “down”). She has been observed following commands such as: sit, come, leave it, drop it, stay, lay down (while gesturing where you’d like her to lay). Sasha has been quiet, not engaging in barking or crying. She loves being outside, and when inside she will often sit or lay by the back door so she can watch what’s happening outside (nosey pup!). Sasha is the perfect family dog. When she has been in the presence of our 6 month old son, she has been extremely respectful and does not try to jump up on us while we’re holding him or when he’s on our lap. She has tried to sniff him a few times, but we will redirect her to a different activity, and she complies.
Sasha is a little angel whose life was saved at the last minute. She deserves to find a forever home and a family who will give her love, attention, make her feel special, and care for her for the rest of her life. Sasha would be a great addition to any family (with or without children) or an individual looking for companionship.
*I bought Sasha a new bed, toys, leash, collar, harness, and food - if you end up adopting this sweetheart, you are welcome to take these items, as she really likes them.
Sasha is being fostered in Northern Virginia. We are happy to transport her as far as 1-2 hours away if that means she would have a loving forever home.
Trailways to Heaven can provide transport to Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Eastern PA, Connecticut or Massachusetts
