Jenny is a lovely 8 year old female--with recent not so lovely behavior with her housemates. She has started going after the other corgis in the home and starting fights. Jenny has been loved and well cared for, including an examination and bloodwork by her veterinarian to determine if there was anything physically wrong with her that would cause this change in behavior. She received a clean bill of health.
With much difficulty and sadness, her owner has made the decision to rehome her for the safety of the other dogs, and so that Jenny can live peacefully as well. Please no negative comments.
Jenny likes to go for walks and does great with loose leash walking. She is on heartworm preventative, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and crate trained. She may need a refresher on house-training. In short, she is a healthy happy girl that loves to sit on the couch with her person, and is generally calm and quite. Jenny has not been around children.
We will only be considering applications for Jenny where she will be the only dog and with no children under thirteen in the home. In that regard, here are the things Jenny’s new family must be agreeable to:
(1) No dog parks or meet-up groups.
(2) If you have family/friends with dogs that visit on occasion or during the holidays, Jenny will need to be kept in a separate room or crated in the common area. There should NOT be a, “Let’s see if they will get along.” attempt.
(3) If you have small children that visit, we recommend that Jenny stay in the bedroom, laundry room, etc. during their visit.
Jenny knows basic obedience commands and is a very nice dog that has told her owner in no uncertain terms that she no longer enjoys the company of other dogs. She loves people.
We like to keep our rescues reasonably close to us, and Jenny will need to stay within an 8-9 hour radius of Amarillo or Lubbock.
