My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie is a beautiful, green eyed declawed senior kitty (12 yrs old) who has had a tough few years.  Gracie's owner developed a brain tumor and was unable to care for her for the last few years.  Her brother passed away unexpectedly and it was determined that it would be best for her to find a new home through Mt Olive TNR.  It’s taken some time for her to come around, but Miss Grace has become a real sweetheart.  She loves being queen of the roost, literally.  Her favorite spot is any place high up where she can look down on you with those bewitching green eyes.  She deserves to be pampered and loved, and in return she’ll let you kiss her and pet her (of course, only when she thinks it’s her idea.)  Because of the difficult circumstances she came from she is a little skittish when she hears doors opening and closing.  But as long as she has her safe spot to run to, it’s all good.  Gracie is becoming more confident and trusting every day.  Her favorite resting spot is on the very top of the cat tree where you can occasionally hear her little cat snores.  She loves sleeping on the bed with you at night, and wakes up every morning purring loudly.  Even though Gracie is on the mature side, she is very active and loves looking out the window.  If you open your heart and your house to her, you won’t be disappointed.  P.S.  She loves her toys!  Gracie tolerates other cats, but would also be fine as an only cat.  If you are interested in meeting Gracie please go to mtolivetnr.org and fill out an adoption application and a representative will get back to you soon!
