My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little boy is approximately 20 lbs. He looks like a poodle/sheepdog mix. We have differing opinions on Beauregard’s age. The shelter said 3 years, one of our vets said 8 years, and another vet said 4 years. So we would rather be on the high side than the low and we will list him as 8. He is somewhere in the 4-8 year range. He acts like a 4 year old, happy, well behaved, quiet dog. Beauregard seems to be pretty well house trained and does better on a harness than a leash. He does pull and could do with some leash training.
He gets along with other dogs of both genders and all sizes. He loves to run leap outside, play with toys, and lounge on a dog bed or lap. He was very tolerant at the groomer’s, even when getting his nails done. Beauregard may be a little shy at first but will follow you everywhere once he gets to know you. We require a home with no children under the age of 10 years of age.


The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in TX in foster care.
