Tessa
**Tessa is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, TX. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Her adoption fee is $400, which covers her flight to her new family, a travel kennel, and she is fully vetted.**
Tessa was pulled from the local kill shelter the day she gave birth to 6 beautiful puppies. When the puppies were 9 days old Tessa became very ill and had to have exploratory surgery to see if there were any more tennis ball pieces in her stomach. This poor girl has had a rough life and wasn’t very sure of everyone or everything going on but she LOVES her foster mom & dad.
Tessa has had some basic training to help her confidence. She knows sit with an implied stay, down with an implied stay, heal, post and here. She will need someone that understands that new things will always scare her initially but with a confident leader she will thrive. It will take her a few weeks to open up to her new person. She is very scared and shy at first but once she knows she is safe and her new person is going to love her she will come around. She bonds so much with her person and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. She is an absolute sweetheart that needs someone who will understand her, continue to work with her training and love her as she will them.
We believe Tessa is 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier / Border Collie Mix. She weighs about 45 pounds.
**Tessa is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation.
