Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Anyone interested in FOSTERING this 6 year old Rottie/Mastiff mix? He's oblivious to other dogs and a gentle soul with people, timid boy. He still needs to be neutered. Foster needs to be local to the greater Phila area
Here is what the shelter said about him:
"Kingston is a sensitive older pup who desperately wants to get out of this shelter and into a cozy and quiet home. Kingston was surrendered to our shelter because the landlord did not allow animals. The previous owner only had really great things to say about him including that he loves fetch, has been good with everyone he meets and has even lived with other dogs! Kingston lived with children of all ages and is said to be good with them but because of his tense behavior at the shelter, I would suggest a more quiet home with people who will not be in his face or with dog savvy children. Kingston is very dog tolerant and really just likes to mind his own business. In his run at the shelter, when we first approached him, he would tense up and whale eye but would quickly start to wag his little nub tail after a few seconds. He gets a bit nervous when you try to leash him and puts his head down to avoid it. Once I was able to get it around him, he was hesitant to come out of his kennel and it took a few minutes of coaxing to finally get him out. Kingston walks pretty well on the leash and stays close by his handlers side. Once outside, I sat down and he immediately sat by my side and put his head on my lap. This sweet little angel is too timid for this noisy shelter and he will surely melt your heart the second you meet him"
Kingston was rescued from the shelter but is in a boarding kennel. He needs a foster home to regain his health and feel safe. He will need a temporary quarantine period in case he comes down with kennel cough. Contact for this poor soul is Beth at kaya1227@comcast.net
