My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jesse is a 3-5 year old Rottweiler, who was surrendered by her owner to the shelter. When she came into the shelter she had all but given up on life. She was emaciated as well as having a skin issue. The skin issue turned out to be a flea allergy because with topical flea preventatives her skin and coat are beautiful. Jesse quickly responded to the love and attention she received as she showed her appreciation readily and she has become very loving and affectionate, she quickly regained her love and zest for life. Besides being very attentive, she also loves to play, she likes toys and likes to fetch. She lives in her foster home with two teenage brothers, two feline siblings, as well as a canine sibling. She does well with her foster brothers, however she may need a home with older children as she has a very protective nature. In typical Rottweiler fashion she loves and watches over her humans, she is protective of those she loves so horseplay can be tricky for her as she may try to protect her favorite human. Jesse does well with her canine siblings. She does need cats who are very well understanding of dogs who over-love. She is very fascinated with the cats, she does not try to hurt them but she does want to play and they often do not want her to play with them. Jesse responds very well to soft correction because she does like to please her humans. She does get nervous with yelling, she is afraid and needs protection from vacuum cleaners. Jesse loves to be a lap dog, as she is constantly cuddling. She is completely house trained and has some basic obedience. Contact for an application is Beth at kaya1227@comcast.net
