My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Easton is a 7-year-old neutered male chocolate lab. Easton weighs 69 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.

Adopters must meet these requirements:
Setting: Rural, Suburban
Dwelling: Single Family Home
Fencing: No Fence Required

Feb 4, 2018: Easton is an affable and affectionate 7 year old chocolate boy who is enthusiastic about everything. He loves going for walks and just hearing his name prompts some furious tail wagging. He is learning the basics about being a family pet and will need someone who is willing to work with him. He is fully housebroken, though, so has learned the most important lesson. Easton is currently being treated for demodex and ear infection, which will require some medicated baths and ear care in the near term. Fortunately he is good with taking meds. He is somewhat hand shy but is beginning to understand that a hand can bring a lot of good things – treats, pats, the leash – and will now come over and request attention. He has no leash skills so needs someone who has some patience and a strong arm. He’s still in a cone while his stitches from being neutered heal, but that will come off in about a week and then his medicated baths can begin. Easton doesn’t ask for much; he loves having a soft bed to sleep on and will spend most of his day right there. He is good with the other dogs in the home, though they don’t interact much.

Jan 18, 2018: Easton is a sweet boy. Easton was great with the 5 dogs he was surrendered to the shelter with. We don't know how Easton is with cats. There's no kid history for Easton, so he's approved for kids ages 10 and up.

Easton is a 7 year old chocolate neutered male. He is current on vaccines. He is being treated for a secondary skin infection and Demodex mange which is not contagious to other dogs or humans. Treating with antibiotics and biweekly medicated baths. After he is healthier he will need a dental. Lab Rescue will pay for it if it's done at one of our vets. Easton weighs 69 pounds.

Easton will need another Heartworm test in six months (middle of July 2018), because we don't know if he was on Heartworm preventatives before coming to Lab Rescue.

Easton was an owner surrender to the shelter with 5 other dogs, because his previous owners were moving to a trailer park and couldn't take the dogs with them.
