Meet Charlie, a handsome jet black Cocker Spaniel with natural tail roughly 8 years old. Charlie comes to us from Animal Care and Control of NYC, where he was turned in as a stray. He is a friendly boy with a nice disposition, albeit with a few issues that might be expected of any dog who has been through misfortune. He will require time to feel secure and to find his bearings again, but is sure to rise to the occasion and to love his family just as deeply as any dog possibly could. Charlie has a huge heart. We believe that Charlie will do best in an adult only home or in a home with older kids who are dog experienced. As he gets along well with other animals, he will happily share home and hearth with other dogs (so far he has not been overly reactive when exposed to cats). Charlie is a healthy boy who has been neutered, microchipped, is current on all shots and has tested negative for heartworm. He has just been treated to a dental cleaning as well as a professional grooming and will be sporting a new leash and collar at the time of going home.
