Who needs Europe when you can have Rome in your very own home? Rome is 13 weeks old. We believe he is a Labrador Retriever mixes. He arrived in the care of MMR from one of our partner shelters in Southwest Virginia. He was dumped there with no history from the 'breeder'.
Rome is very healthy, and active. He is current on shots and fully vetted. He is not neutered as he is too young, and that will be the responsibility of the new familie as well, with MMR following up to make sure it is done. Rome is a happy, goofy boy. He is expected to be a medium size dogs, most likely weighing over 50 pounds when full grown.
Given that these pups are a he is a mixture of sporting breeds, we would like to see him placed with an active family or individual...he like to run and play and loves the water!!! He must go to a family or individual who will have someone who can be at homemost of the time. A stay at home parent or part time working parent would be great. He is just now learning about house manners and will need to be taken out every 2-3 hours for bathroom breaks. MMR WILL NOT PLACE HIM IN AN APARTMENT HOMES, CONDOS OR OTHER MULTI FAMILY DWELLINGS. Fenced yards are strongly preferred, but not required. Experience with raising a puppy in the past is also strongly preferred.

The adoption fee for these dog is $350 each, covers the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered , you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. MMR can provide you with low cost spay/neuter resources at one of our many vet partners.
***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help, surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs, etc....all things that often result in adoptable dogs left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!***
