Who needs Europe when you can have Rome in your very own home? Rome is 13 weeks old. We believe he is a Labrador Retriever mixes. He arrived in the care of MMR from one of our partner shelters in Southwest Virginia. He was dumped there with no history from the 'breeder'.

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster home for a dog in need! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering on our website:

MMR covers the vet care, food, and tools to get started. You supply the love. Fostering saves lives. Sometimes a foster home is the only thing standing between life and death.
The adoption fee for these dog is $350 each, covers the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered , you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. MMR can provide you with low cost spay/neuter resources at one of our many vet partners.
***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help, surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs, etc....all things that often result in adoptable dogs left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!***
