Amelia is not being given the chance that she deserves. She was dumped by her previous family in Nov 2015 in a NC kill shelter and now she needs her own forever family. Amelia is the longest dog we have had in Rescue and she needs a big break.

Amelia is a 5-ish year old German Shepherd Hound mix. At just around 50-55 pounds full grown she is the perfect size and thinks she is a lap dog. Young children scare her, so we say older children only. She has not been around cats but she has played with other dogs. She needs a fenced in yard to run in. She loves the outdoors, playing with toys, and she is very silly. She is pretty perfect and would make a great dog for a young couple with no kids, an older retired couple with a fenced yard, or single people that are looking for the perfect companion. She can help you find your soulmate!
Amelia is spayed, 100% vaccinated, up to date on flea and heartworm, microchipped, house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows her tricks. What more do you need?
