My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Male Shih Tzu Pups

Meet the adorable due of Frank and Freddie. They are the babies of Buttons, also rescued by MMR and up for adoption. Each of these babies weigh about 3lbs. They were rescued out of a city shelter (along with another Shih Tzu mom and two other pups who have already been placed). Both momma's were also matted down very badly so they had to be shaved. Mutts Matter came to their aid. Now that the pups are 8 weeks, they can be placed. These little ones are still fragile, and will need lots of TLC. These pups have had the care they needed, and are not bonded. So they can be placed either together or apart. Either way, they are adorable and sweet. We are looking for families that have schedules that can accommodate the needs of a puppy. (Frankie is the darker puppy, and Freddie is more multicolor)

The adoption fee for these dog is $400 each, covers the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered , you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. MMR can provide you with low cost spay/neuter resources at one of our many vet partners.

***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help, surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs, etc....all things that often result in adoptable dogs left behind to be euthanized. So adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!***

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster home for a dog in need! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering on our website:
