My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

9/12-UPDATE FROM FOSTER IN WV: His photo's don't do him justice.  Little Man is so adorable with personality plus.  The vet thinks he's a beagle/pug mix?  About 4 years old and weighs twenty pounds.  He's a little shy, and sadly, very insecure; but he shows a lot of progress and gains more confidence in himself every single day.  Everything seems new to him - love, playing, leash walking, toys; but he's a very fast learner and aims to please.  He's very active & playful and has no problems keeping up with my 10 month old pug.  He loves to be held and he'll put one paw on each shoulder to give hugs and lots of kisses.  He's very good with other dogs and cats.  He's great with all people too. He's a very sweet boy and has been a joy to foster :)

My name is 'Little Man'. That's just the name that some of the shelter folks gave me. But my foster calls me Little for short. I am a mutt of some sort. Perhaps a beagle pug mix? We're unsure still. One thing is for sure though, is that I am cute and lovable. I am just under 4 years old,and weigh 20lbs. I'm a social guy, and enjoy being with people.
I love other dogs, and am being fostered with several other small dogs. I was rescued from a shelter in WV where I was scheduled to be euthanized because of a skin infection; The shelter was full that day.  Thankfully a lot of dedicated animal lovers stepped up for me and got me out of the shelter just in time. I am such a grateful little guy, and love snuggling with other dogs, people, and kids. I arrive in MD on 9/14.

My adoption fee is $350, which covers the cost of routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, my microchip, monthly heartworm prevention, monthly flea/tick prevention, and any transport costs if applicable.

If you can't adopt me, consider sponsoring my care and being a rescue angel. Click on the DONATE button below and chip in what you can. Your donation is tax deductible and helps us save more lives!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster home for a dog in need! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering on our website under 'How you can help.' MMR covers the vet care, food, and tools to get started. You supply the love. Fostering saves lives. Sometimes a foster home is the only thing standing between life and death.
