My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Floyd is an adult male American Crested Guinea Pig.
Floyd came from a free roaming hoader situation of 21 guinea pigs, I am still working with him and his human socials. He greets me at his cage for veggies or just to say hi.

He enjoys and thrives best with a neighbor piggy and will do best in a good sized split c&c or side by side cage with another piggy.

Because guinea pigs are born with the prey instinct they tend to run when trying to be picked up from their cage,
Floyd is a scaredy pig and even chatters when I try to gather him up, he will need a patient and experienced adopter.
Once he is in my lap he can be sweet and relaxed but has nibbled me when he has had enough.

The safest way to spend time with your new piggie after he or she is settled in is during a floor time in a safe limited space or while you are sitting down encase they get scared and try to get away from you.

There is so much great information on the internet to help you provide a happy and safe life for your future guinea pig, please do some research while you are going through the adoption process before you welcome him/her into your home.

Adoption fee is $25 for each piggie.

Thank you for considering adoption. If you are interested in this animal please email furgetusnotrescue@gmail.com and we'll put you in touch with the foster mom. Applications can be filled out online http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html
