My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Camo - Catahoula/GSP Mix - Male - 1 Year - www.twyla.org

Meet Camo:  We think this gorgeous guy is a Catahoula/German Shorthaired Pointer mix, about 1-year-old and he ADORES his people. He also LOVES snuggling on the sofa next to (or half on top of) his people under his favorite plush blanket, the closer the better. He is also a very active dog who loves to play with toys - he loves to wrestle and play chase with other dogs of similar size and temperament. He has a fairly strong prey drive and likes to chase turtles, he will most likely also chase cats and other small animals. He loves to chew on non-edible Nyla bones and other heavy-chewer type toys, and he knows how to sit & shake hands & he is beyond adorable and handsome.

He is crate trained and still requires creating when left unsupervised (he gets himself in trouble with toys and shoes and item that are not his...) however he is not a fan of the crate and will let you know, with his beautiful hound-type baying bark.

He is looking for an active home where someone who is home a lot, he is great running next to a bike and would make a great running partner. He can be vocal when left home alone. While he gets along well with other dogs, he can be selective and pretty dominant and might be best as an only dog in the house. His ideal home would also embrace his desire for snuggles on the sofa and under his blanket and need to be close to his humans and continue working with him to make better choices on what to chew and not squeeze out the front door at any chance.
