I am a 7-year-old Shih Tzu recently liberated from a commercial breeder. I spent my whole life producing pups and now am finding this new outside world a little daunting, but I am learning that it is a good, safe world and am slowly warming to family life.
I do go outside and find the snow and open space very interesting. I like the idea of a walk and will go for a ways with my tail up and head high but after a while, my toes get cold and I’d like you to carry me a bit. I am very little too, so it doesn’t take much snow to reach my belly, brrrrrr.
A home with another friendly, small dog may help me adapt more quickly as I can take my cues from your dog and their ease and security will rub off on me.
I need some patient affection to bring me to my best self as a free dog. I like to be spoken to and will wag but being held still makes me nervous. I can’t appreciate pets and hugs yet, but I bet I will soon once I know they are good things and I’m not being taken to make pups again. I'm not NOT suitable for kids under 12 as I have lived in a cage all my life.
If you want an adorable white ball of fluff for your quiet life, and can work with me to learn good dog ways and embrace family life, please apply for me, Charlotte.
