Bootsie was surrendered to us as her family did not have time to care for her. Bootsie is a very sweet pug. although she is very obese from eating too many treats etc. She really needs to lose quite a bit of weight! It is not good for her little legs.

She is clean in the house and likes to lie around a lot. She is not a big barker. Right now we are concentrating on having Bootsie loose weight and not give her any treats or table food. She is allowed celery as a treat. Pugs can be big eater if allowed to do so. She will need regular walking during cool weather. Blood tests were done and everything is fine. Bootsie makes a lot of noise breathing. Losing weight will help this but will not completely stop it. It will be important to keep her indoors during hot weather and to have an air conditioner.
