FOR ADOTPION: Cashew
5 mos. old male Lab-Husky mix
good with dogs (yes) cats (untested)
kids over 12. Weight to follow
Cashew is a very engaging 5-month-old Northern puppy who is very friendly and happy go lucky. Unfortunately, he had a rough start to his rescue, within 48 hours of being in his foster home he became ill and it was discovered that he was infected with CPV, commonly known as Parvo. Luckily he has recovered and is back with his foster showing no negative effects from his bout with a potentially fatal virus.
He is ready to go to his new home on a "foster to adopt" basis as he will only be neutered in about 4 weeks. For the next 2 weeks, he will need to be kept away from dogs that have not been vaccinated as his stools will still be contagious and will need to be picked up. He has been staying with his fosters dogs, all of whom are vaccinated and completely unaffected.
Like most of the Northern dogs, Cashew is very eager to bond with humans and extremely affectionate. He is crate trained and just about house trained (no accidents when let out frequently). He has already learned to sit when asked and give his paw, obedience training will go very well with him. Good with other dogs, untested with cats.
