Hi, my name is Charlie. I am a very sweet and affectionate two year old male Papillon. I love to play, go on car rides, and walks. My life before coming into rescue was really rough. I lived in an outdoor shed with some other dogs. We had no heat in the winter, no cooling in the summer, and with little to no human contact. I never got to go outside and sometimes went for days without food or water.
But now that I’ve been in my foster home, I am learning about puppy manners and how great it is to live in a house with a family. I love to snuggle and will curl up on your lap at any chance I can get. Almost everything is new to me but I am a quick learner and I am eager to please. Since the only interaction I’ve ever had was with the other dogs in the shed, I would like my forever home to have another small playmate for me, but if that’s not possible, I’d really like to be the main focus of my new family and be doted on all the time. Because I am a youngster, I’d love to have a family who has the energy to take me on long walks, play with me in the house or yard, and keep up with me. Oh, and if there are any children in the home I’d like them to be eight years or older. My foster home has a very sweet little girl, and even though she is very gentle and caring with me, I feel much more comfortable being around older people.
I am healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. My adoption fee is $420.00 plus $31.61 sales tax for a total cost of $451.61. My foster parents would like my forever home to be within 60 miles of the Twin Cities area, and we encourage them to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion in September.
