Meet Kona!

Kona is a 9-10 month old bulldog/ hound mix. He weighs about 45lbs, and it doesn't look like he'll get much bigger. He is beautiful mix of breeds that resulted in soft fur, a kissable smooshy face, and a medium energy level. Things I know about this boy in a week's time...he is playful, 95% potty trained, walks nice on a leash, sleeps in the crate all night, and is not destructive when outside the crate. ( He does not get to be free in the house unattended yet..he is still a puppy!). He definitely likes to be around his "people"..he whines a little when I leave the room, and will follow you from room to room. He has met some kids on walks, he is happy to say hello to everyone! He currently lives with my two adult female dogs, who he desperately wants to play with, so a home with an equally playful dog would be great for him. He has not met any cats so that is an unknown. Kona would enjoy a family to love him forever, just like he will love you.

Kona’s adoption fee is $350 and he is being fostered in Hartland, Wisconsin.

Because all our Cupids are fostered in private homes, an approved application MUST be on file before proceeding with a meet-and-greet. The online application can be found at http://www.caninecupids.org/adopt-.html.

Our Thoughts on Visual Breed Identification
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable. For most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think it’s most important is to get to know each dog as an individual! We then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personalities in order to determine whether they’ll make good companions based on prospective adopters’ lifestyles. Dog behavior is not exclusive to breed — it’s a complex mix of nature and nurture.
