Leo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Leo's Story...
Leo is a handsome blonde boy who is very playful and outgoing.  His owners reluctantly turned him in to rescue due to her severe allergies.  He loves to play with other dogs and is getting along well with his foster siblings. He seems interested in the cat too but is learning to leave them alone. He is crate trained, housebroken and has been well cared for all his life.  As with many young Goldens, he will benefit from continued obedience training.

Leo is 4 years old and weighs in at approximately 80 lbs. He is current on vaccinations, neutered and heartworm negative. He is also microchipped. Leo is ready for his forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Houston Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
