My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Minnie Pearl is a year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier / American Staffordshire Terrier who suffered the same mistreatment as Luca. We consider them to be brother & sister even though it's not definite.

Despite all the horror before checking into Camp Chaos, Minnie Pearl is the friendliest lap dog you will meet & can’t wait to cuddle up to new friends. She is a gorgeous milk-chocolate brown & a petite 45lbs.

Minnie loves to sleep away the night like a cat, curled up at her foster's pillow. She loves to be a partner to TV time and playing in the backyard, as well as taking walks in the park.

Preference will be given to prospective adopters with dog experience or a demonstrated commitment to obedience classes & training. Camp Chaos provides 1 training lesson.

Minnie is housetrained! She has been treated for heartworm exposure, vaccinated, up to date on flea/tick preventative, & will be spayed prior to adoption.

All of the Camp Chaos dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. Please email captainchaos@campchaos37206.org for an application. Adoption fee is $150. Thank you for wanting to share your home with one of our rescued pups!

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Temperament (from Wikipedia, online encyclopedia)
Although individual differences in personality exist, there are some things that you can expect to find in the personality of every Stafford. From the past history of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, the modern dog draws its character of indomitable courage, high intelligence, and tenacity. This, coupled with its affection for its friends, and children in particular, its off-duty quietness and trustworthy stability, makes it a foremost all-purpose dog.

The breed has been nicknamed the "Nanny Dog" due to their unusual affinity and affection towards children.

The breed is naturally muscular and may appear intimidating; however, because of their natural fondness for people, most Staffords are temperamentally ill-suited for guard or attack-dog training.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier appeared in the top 10 breeds most suitable for families and especially children in a report researched and published by Southampton University in 1996. This breed is highly intelligent, eager to please and very people friendly. It has a special empathy with children and it is for this it is best known. It adapts readily to most situations making it the foremost all purpose dog. Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies are very easy to house train.
