My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Livey and Lacy are gorgeous, bonded, 9 year old girls, looking for a forever home together. Lacy weighs a perfect 12 pounds and Livey weighs in at a tiny 11 pounds.

Livey and Lacy get along well with other dogs and are cautious and a bit nervous around children. They would do well with respectful children 12 years of age or older. Livey and Lacy have not been tested with kitties.

Lacy and Livey are house trained but they both need to be reminded that it is time to go outside at regular intervals or there will be accidents. Like all dachshunds they will need to be confident in their environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important. Livy does NOT like to go out and potty in the rain and will need to be gently persuaded with treats to learn that its ok. We would advise her new family to always go out with her when she is being a bit stubborn.

Lacy and Livey enjoy leash walks and would love a home that would take them for one every day. Lacy loves to play ball and she will play for as long as she can persuade someone to throw the ball for her! Lacy will hid her ball in towels and has been known to chew a towel to get to her ball. Both girls are squeaker destroyers and they will tear apart a squeaky quickly! These beautiful girls love to go for car rides and like most dachshunds love food and special treats!

Lacy and Livey are looking for a home where they can sleep in a big bed with their people. They always nestle together beside their foster mom in their Georgia foster home. They love and request love and attention. Livey will bark when her food is being prepared but has no food aggression.

These gorgeous, loving little girls are longing for a forever family. Are you going to be the one to step up and make their dreams come true? Apply to adopt them today!
