My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NEEDS FOSTER!

Reagan is an elegant Red smooth coat Saluki that was rescued with her sister Burke from an unfortunate neglect situation near Dallas, TX in the fall of 2017.

Reagan was diagnosed with Heartworm disease but has completed her treatment and is a very healthy girl.  She will need to have another heartworm test done in July 2018 to ensure she stays negative.

Reagan is estimated to be about 1 1/2 years young and weighs about 45lbs.  Reagan has a big confident silly personality.  She is very mischievous and loves to explore new things.  Reagan also has a very sweet and loving side as well.  After breakfast she loves to crawl in the chair and cuddle in your lap.

Reagan is learning not to jump up when she gets too excited.  She loves meeting new people and playing with her toys.  She gets along well with her foster brother Ruger, but does not get along with Daisy (friendly feline housemate).  She thinks that chasing the cat is way more fun than trying to make friends.

Reagan has a comical personality when it come to playtime.  She gets silly with her toys and enjoys carrying firewood logs around the yard.  She is  learning that the kitchen is off limits and currently learning how to ring bells hanging from the door to let you know she need to potty (work in progress).  She has not had an accident in the house in a while and is asked frequently (every few hours) if she needs to go potty.  She always gets excited about going outside except when it is cold or raining.

Reagan loves to wrestle with her sister Burke and race around the backyard (secure of course).  She kennels without any problems when we are away and at night for her own safety.  She would be best if adopted with Burke as they are very bonded and get anxiety if separated.
