Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB Feb 20th, 2016
Lucky is a gentle giant. He is a sweet boy who is not quite sure about getting attached to a person again; the last time it didn’t work out very well and he ended up in a shelter (when his human had to go to a care facility). He did not like the shelter! But a foster home was ok.
When Lucky first arrived at his foster home he would endure pets but refused to eat for three days. He was so sad. Finally, after a couple of false starts he began eating regularly. When he was released from his “safe” room, he carefully explored his foster home but avoided the human. He would allow petting but didn’t seem to enjoy it.
Gradually, Lucky has made himself more and more at home. He can regularly be found in the favourite window seat, in the climbing tree, or snoozing on the bed. He doesn’t seek out attention but he seems to enjoy it more and more every day. He spends much more time with his tail up and happy. And he is very interested in meal times!
Lucky enjoys the company of the other cats in his foster home, regularly engaging in lively games of tag, but he is fine on his own, too. He was reluctant to play at first but has recently shown interest in catnip and the laser pointer.
Lucky may take a little time to warm up, but he’s just waiting to give his heart to a special someone!
Lucky loves closets and cupboards. He doesn’t hide in them, he just loves to open the doors!
Lucky is currently at PetSmart Kennedy Commons. If you are interested in adopting him, please email the lead store volunteer Todd: email toddburgess@torontocatrescue.ca for more information.
