Here's what the humans have to say about me:
On March 2nd, this little ball of cuteness was found wandering the back streets of kern medical hospital.
At first I thought he belonged to a homeless man as I saw him following him, but when the homeless man began waving him away, I knew he was alone.
I was about to leave but watching him walk on his 3 legs in the middle of the street broke my heart and I knew I couldn’t leave him there.
I opened my car door and called him. He ran over immediately ...it was like he was begging to be rescued and for someone to love him. He jumped into my my lap and was content as can be.
Benji is a special little boy. After being seen at the vet, we are told that he is blind in his left eye due to juvenile onset cataracts. He also has a prior injury to his back left leg, rendering it non-weight bearing so he walks with just 3 legs. It does not cause him any pain and there isn’t anything medical to fix it, but he has learned to get around well without it. 💪🤗
Benji is approximately 4-5 yrs old and only 6 lbs. The wear and tear of being a street dog shows in his scars and patchy areas of fur, but he has so much love to give and just wants someone to cuddle with and follow around. He is already almost potty trained and does well with my other small dogs in the home.
Benji is extra special, and deserves an extra special home!
