Meet Freckles! This adorable little cattle dog mix was found wandering the neighborhood all alone several months ago. She is currently being fostered by a wonderful family, but is ready to find a home all of her own!
She is estimated to be around 1-2 years of age, and is definitely some type of cattle dog mix! Her adorable size and weighing in at only 30 lbs is a telltale sign, not to mention her quirky behaviors and fun loving personality! She is pup who enjoys all she meets, and gets along with everyone both human and canine. She can be a bit shy when meeting the new dogs at first but after 10 minutes of getting to know one another in a yard she is more then happy to play and quick to make new friends! So far she has gotten along with dogs of all sizes, including the smaller ones. So a canine pal of any size should be a perfect fit for Freckles! Freckles also doesn't mind our three cats, although she does enjoy barking at them from time to time, mostly just to pester them! It is all in good fun though!
Freckles really loves her people and is attached to her humans, and prefers them over all others. She is crate trained, though she will cry the first 5 mins or so unless you ask her to be quiet. We give her a tasty bone or something to keep her occupied and she seems to settle down just fine! She loves to run and play, and especially loves to cuddle so she would make an excellent outdoor partner and then a cuddle buddy at night! She is extremely smart and agile so working with training or advancing into anything such as agility, etc. would be a breeze for Freckles!
She already knows some commands as well such as sit, settle, and down. She is also very quick and eager to please, especially with the form of reward such as ear scratches and a tasty treat! We like to use pepperoni's! She loves attention of any kind so would make an excellent family pet!
Freckles is current on all her vaccinations including her rabies, bordetella, and DHPP. She is also microchipped, up to date on monthly flea and heartworm prevention and heartworm negative!
