Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.
Chance was the daddy to many pups in the Birmingham, Alabama area for many months. He was in a group of strays that were being fed by a little old lady, who refused to give up on them. She reached out to the rescue for help and one by one we've brought the pups into our rescue. They've all gotten the veterinarian help they need and all were placed into loving foster homes and then forever homes. Chance is the last pup. He was at the feeding site one day by himself and we walked right up to him and put a slip lead on him and took him to the car. His life is forever changed. He was neutered, received his vaccines and is in a foster home now where they absolutely love him. He's living the good life now. It's time for him to find his forever home. For a big dog, he's very graceful, he’s just so happy.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21.
