Gizmo is a 7 year old, 10 pound Yorkie mix fellow. Gizmo is being fostered in Sewanee, GA
Hi everyone! It’s me, Gizmo and I thought I’d check in with y’all!
I’ve been in my foster home for two months now. My foster Dad is very kind to me and it’s nice here but I really would like to find my own family or human. I’m a very good boy and foster Dad says I am very handsome too. He says I have the softest fur and he loves my full plume of a tail. I ask him why I haven’t been adopted yet every day and he strokes my fur and tells me “Be patient Gizmo......Your special person is out there making their way to you” but it’s so hard to be patient.
You see, I had a family that I loved very much. But they had a little human that wanted to chase me and pull my tail and one day I had enough and I snapped at the little human. I was so sorry and wanted to take it back immediately but it was too late and my human said I had to go. That is when I came to live with my foster Dad.
I have been such a good boy here. I was scared at first because everything was different from what I had always known. Since then I have become very social and I want to be with people as much as I possibly can. I now know how to “ask” for lap and couch time and I get along great with my foster sister. I love the warmer weather and just love to go outside and play or go for walks on the leash. I love car rides too. I am also good with cats but I love my humans first and foremost. Foster Dad says I’m almost PERFECT. I do great with house training during the day time but I have trouble holding it overnight but I’m working on that.
My perfect home wish list would be for a quiet home without tiny humans. They scare me. Another pup to be my best friend would be GREAT but I can also be happy as someone’s only dog because I would get ALL THE LOVE! A fenced yard would be AMAZING but walks with my person would also work.
