6-21-18 UPDATE: Chikki is 10 months old today! The changes in this baby since she came to me from the shelter on March 23rd are amazing. She was underweight, depressed, in pain from a broken front leg and facing amputation, fearful in the scary shelter and nipping, her hair was dry, brittle, and flaking, and overall condition a 5 out of a 10. Now she weighs a healthy 4.5 and is a voracous eater. She is happy, happy, happy, all the time, so happy that when she walks, she bounces. She is no longer in pain, her leg is healed with time, attention to care, and medical advice. She has turned from a sad little girl to a bouncy baby girl. She loves to give you kisses, whether up your nose or between your lips. She will climb up you and press her face against you for her “yummy” game which she loves and requests several times a day. She wants to be with you, beside you, on you, or waiting on you all the time. She has pretty carriage and gait and looks absolutely beautiful in her shiny chocolate coat, always with a smile on that sweet face. She is an ideal companion dog and even loves to play with her foster siblings. She will wake you with a sweet neck hug and a kiss on the ear in the mornings. What a sweet way to start your day. Chiquita Bella “Chikki” has more personality in one of her little paws than a lot of dogs have in their whole bodies. She will make you laugh and absolutely melt with love. Who is ready to give this adorable little one the “furever” home she really deserves? I guarantee she will come to you pre-spoiled! She is looking for a play companion and a mom who can be with her most of the time.
