My story

Blu was adopted from our shelter about 3 years ago with his sibling Dusty. They were doing great until the owner had to move. The landlord agreed they could come until she smelled litter in the garbage and then it was “THEY HAVE TO GO!!” Blu & Dustys adopter did try to rehome them, but the landlord gave her no time. We would love for these 2 to be together as they started off as older kittens in the shelter....rescued from behind Sterling Bank in Goshen which is where there has been a colony of cats for the past couple of decades (Now finally shut down!). Can be a little shy, however, they just need someone who’ll give them time and space to adjust to a new home again. Both are larger cats and very good looking. They just need to know they won’t be given time constraints. INDOOR ONLY.

Why adoption is a great option

Blue, a Goshen Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Goshen, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Goshen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Goshen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Goshen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Goshen paves the way for another one to be saved.
