My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Azul/Mama is an approximately 1-1.5 year old 45 pound mixed breed (we suspect heeler border collie mix). Before being euthanized for time and space, she was saved from a high kill shelter in New Mexico. It was shortly discovered after that she was pregnant, and she was a wonderful mom. Her puppies have been adopted, and she is looking for her own home now. She is being fostered in Cheyenne, WY.

Azul/Mama is very smart and knows basic commands. She is highly trainable and eager to please. She would do well as an agility or therapy dog or just overall family pet. She would most enjoy an active family and would prefer to live with another dog to play with, though this is not mandatory.

She loves other dogs and kids, walks well on a leash, loves car rides, and is kennel trained. We do not recommend her for a home with cats (she seems to like to herd them a bit too much).

She is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She will be adopted out through Happy Landings Animal Rescue. Adoption application, contract, home check, and adoption fee is required. Her foster family loves her very much and would keep her if they did not already have 3 dogs and want to keep fostering, so an excellent home is a must.
