My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dobby is a Cockapoo (19lbs) that was found as a stray in Alabama, skin-and-bones, badly matted and generally messy. He’s been shaved down, cleaned up, neutered, and fattened up! He LOVES to play ball, snuggle, and follow you around like a puppy.

Dobby is an active guy - he was a stray, and we estimate his age at 4-6yrs. He’s UTD on shots, and in good health except that his right eye has a cataract, which likely came from an injury. It doesn’t bother him at all, and he can still catch a ball in mid-air! He runs around the yard with my 2yr-old, so he may be even younger than we estimate.

He’s generally quiet, and a great snuggler. Very gentle. He occasionally shows some cat-like behavior, so we expect he would be good with cats, although we don’t have any cats to confirm this with. He’s good with the other dogs, but does show some food and toy guarding, likely from being a stray, but the guarding has been lessening as he’s feeling more at home here, and has not been an issue.
