My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello friends!! My name is Maisie! I was born around Dec 13,2017, and I am already 40 lbs! My foster mom decided to send off a DNA test on me, and I am 50% Bloodhound, 37.5% Great Dane and 12.5% Great Pyrenees. My test also showed that I should be about 85-130 lbs, so I am going to be a very big girl! I am a very happy-go-lucky puppy. I love to romp around with my dog foster siblings, and I also enjoy meeting new friends. I really like to lay around and be lazy with my siblings too. I live with some kitties that I don’t mind saying hello to every now and then, but only the ones that like me! I also enjoy meeting new people, but I think my favorite thing is cuddling with my foster mom. People cuddles are the best! When foster mom is gone at school or sleeping, I stay in my very own large bedroom (crate). I don’t mind going into my crate because I have lots of fun chew toys in there, I get to eat in there, and I LOVE FOOD! Foster mom says that I am almost fully potty trained, but I still have a few random accidents if mom isn’t paying attention to me standing by the door. Foster mom has been telling me about my forever home, and I can’t wait to meet my new family! When I first came to rescue, both of my front legs had some deformities. At first we thought it may have just been from lack of proper nutrition, so foster mom got me started on some good food. My right leg straightened up on its own, but my left leg seemed to be getting worse, so off to the vet I went! After seeing a couple vets, it was decided that my ulnar physes had closed early, which meant I needed surgery. I am about 4 weeks post op and doing really well! My leg still isn’t “normal”, but I get along really well on it. Depending on how my bones continue to grow, I may need a surgery in the future when I am done growing. I hope this doesn’t deter my forever family because I am an amazing dog!!!Maisie's adoption fee is $125.00. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Maisie will need a secure fence to keep her safe.
