My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


This is Vixie. We have had her for almost 8 years. Half of that time she was an "only child" and that is what she most prefers.

Vixie is full of life. She will be 9 years old in June but you'd never know it. She loves to play outdoors, go for hikes, run, or chase a ball. Indoors, she loves to cuddle. She would sit on your lap all night if you let her. She does well with our other dog, but she is very particular about what dogs she likes. She is an alpha, and doesn't usually get along with hyper dogs, other alphas, or any dog that will invade her "bubble." Vixie LOVES other cats, but tries to herd, and isn't very gentle with them.

Vixie is a great watch dog, but LOVES every grown person she meets. She is Not comfortable with children though. We had been working with her, in hopes to be more comfortable with our 18 month old, but Vixie bit her recently. We are trying to find a better environment for her.
