Radar was picked up from the Tallahassee, FL animal services facility. She is approximately a year old and was initially adopted because of how sweet she is and how well she got along with other dogs. She's a cuddler and a playful puppy, but as we had her in the house we started noticing issues. After several visits to the veterinarian and specialists, we determined a number of concerns which require much more attention than we are capable of providing.
The first of which is hip dysplasia, and while she isn't exhibiting any behavioral symptoms, her X-rays do confirm it. It's unknown if she will need any treatment in the future, but she is currently treated with glucosamine and fish oil, which has worked well thus far.
The second is that the veterinarian believes she may have brain damage caused by being kicked as a puppy before we got her. She is blind in her left eye and training her is difficult due to cognitive issues.
