About a year ago JR came to us at PBROK. He had been severely abused and neglected, so much so that he was terrified and hid in a corner trembling when we first rescued him. He had a broken leg that had been left untreated and as you can see in the last two pics, his leg had to be fixed with a huge metal plate and then he was in bandages for quite some time. JR, 2.5 yo, is now fully recovered and in an amazing foster home, learning how to be a spoiled house dog! So far he has learned that he loves chicken nuggets and he is discovering snuggling with his foster dad□! Because of his past abuse, JR can be scared at first with new people. He LOVES other dogs and going on walks and with patience and time to gain his trust will be the most wonderful and grateful family dog. He is so loving, just cautious at first, understandably! Because he had such a rough start, we are looking to adopt JR out to a family that has dog experience and is willing to give him time to adjust; older kids and other dogs are great, as he loves to play and despite a limp he will probably always have, he is not in pain and loves to romp!
