My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mick is an adorable spaniel mix, the larger fuzzy teddy bear in our St. Patty's Day litter and he will melt your heart! His true breed is a puzzler - mom's a chihuahua/feist mix but we are not sure about dad. He appears to be a spaniel/chihuahua mix, that's our best guess. He's a lightweight, about six pounds, very loving and sweet. Mick loves frolicking around with his siblings and flopping on top of them for a snooze, then waking them up so he can boss them around.
Mick is 8 weeks now and will be adopted at ten weeks so he can be neutered by this rescue and be up to date with age appropriate vaccinations. We will place Mick in either an adult home or with older, mature, respectful kids because of his tiny size. He will stay a small size dog. For pups this age socialization is key with both humans and other situations, so a home where someone is around a good part of the day would be appreciated. Pups are often returned with the excuse that they can't be house trained, only to find that no one had the time to train them. Mick is learning to use a weewee pad indoors, but Spring is the perfect time to potty train a pup outdoors, and hopefully the pads will be a thing of the past.
Do you have the time to spend on a puppy? Are you ready to make Mick the best companion he can be? If so, please complete our online application at www.pounddogfounddog.org. Only completed applications will be reviewed.
