8 week old Freddy was found a stray by MACC and their medical team suspected that he had a broken leg. MACC immediately reached out to us and we were able to take Freddy into rescue on Friday the 13th. We got Freddy to our v et Friday where x-rays confirmed he did have a fractured femur and that it was in fact fractured in half. We have no idea how this injury occurred but it takes a lot of force and torque to twist the bone for it to break in this way. Our sad little puppy needed to have his leg splinted to stabilize the bone while he awaited an orthopedic surgery to have his femur fixed with plates. He is having his surgery on Monday the 16th. Freddy will be available for adoption when completely healed.
