Due to Chloe's owner's medical issues and nowhere else for her to go, Chloe found herself in a shelter. She is still very young, full of puppy energy and quite the crazy girl, enjoyably so.
She is great with other dogs and kids. Being young, she still requires some training but with a dedicated adopter she will turn out to be an ideal family member. She is very attentive and will be easy to train.
Chloe needs some work walking on lead and jumping up in her excitement to greet people. She loses some bladder control when excited and greeting people but this is common in dogs her age and will eventually stop as she grows up.
Other than her jumping, she is really sweet, loves to cuddle, is good with kids and enjoys lots and lots of attention. Chloe is very loyal to her family but loves everyone and will come running the moment you say her name or say “come here”. She loves to play with toys and will play fetch with herself preferring to keep the ball rather than returning it.
Chloe is crate trained, however, don't leave any blankets in the crate with her unless you don't mind them being torn apart. She will shred anything around her if she is left alone; bedding, toys, cords if they are anywhere near. We advise that when in her crate she get nothing but a chew toy.
She does not like to be crated and has quite a loud yelp to let you know but she will calm down when someone comes into the room. She will sleep well throughout the night if her humans are nearby. Huskies usually grow out of a need for a crate, preferring to sleep in the same room, or even bed, as their humans.
She still needs to learn to tell her parents when she needs to go out but if she has free access to the yard, such as a doggie door, she will go outside on her own. She does get jealous if other animals are getting attention. She will wrangle her way in and start licking you until you stop touching the other pet and give her the attention.
At times, Chloe thinks she is a lap dog, wanting to curl up on or close to you when things are quiet. She tends to follow her humans around wherever they go. She eats very well and is not aggressive with her food. Be sure you are not in the splash zone when she's taking a drink. Chloe loves to play in her water bowl as she sticks her whole head in the bowl, splashing around.
Chloe is healthy, Heartworm negative, housebroken, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped.
